After much consideration and great await, finally, Provisory Measure (MP) No. 936/2020 was released, and, during this public calamity state, established new rules on the suspension of employment contract and the reduction of work hours with salary cutback.
It is crucial to point out that these measures are intended to maintain the job and income of the employee, therefore, the unfair dismissal of the employee who had its employment contract suspended or had to go through a reduction of work hours, will entail some penalties to the employer, such as payment of a salary percentage concerning the period of provisional guarantee that the employee would be entitled to, in addition to the severance pay.
